Day 1 São Luis - Barreirinhas - Caburé
Pick-up around 05:00 at your hotel in São Luis for the ground transfer or air transfer to Barreirinhas (272 km). The ground transfer will be done in a comfortable air conditioned van and the air transfer in a small air plane, with underway a fantastic view on Lençóis Maranhenses and the possibility to take some beautifull pictures.
Arrival in Barreirinhas and check-in at your pousada/hotel of choice. In the afternoon you will be picked up from the hotel for a comfortable motor boat ride on the Preguiças River. Underway you will visit a part of the Environmental Protection Area (APA), Vassouras, Mandacaru with its lighthouse from where you have a wonderfull view on the surrounding region. This excursion will end at the untouched beach of Caburé. Here we will spend the night in hammocks enjoying the surrounding nature, the incredible sunset and the stars above. Note: Caburé is very basic; there is no electricity and just cold water.

Day 2 Caburé - Barreirinhas
After breakfast a hike along the deserted beach of Caburé, with the change to take a refreshing dive, take some pictures, etc. In the afternoon in a comfortable motor boat back to Barreirinhas. Evening at leisure. Overnight in your pousada/hotel. (B)

Day 3 Barreirinhas
After breakfast a 4x4 safari through the Lençóis Maranhenses National Park, with underway some breath-taking views. Also there will the possibility to take a refreshing dive in the chrystal clear waters of one the many natural swimming pools. In the afternoon return to your pousada/hotel and rest of the evening at leisure. Overnight in your pousada/hotel. (B)

Day 4 Barreirinhas
After breakfast a boat ride on the Preguiças River, but now in opposite direction. We will visit some locals and get to know there customs and traditions. Around noon back to Barreirinhas. Rest of the day at leisure. Overnight in your pousada/hotel. (B)

Day 5 Barreirinhas - São Luis
Breakfast. Ground transfer around 17:00 hrs in the afternoon back to your hotel in São Luis. Or air transfer in the morning back to São Luis, followed by a transfer to your hotel or airport in São Luis. (B)
