Pakaas Palafitas Lodge, build on log-pilings, is situated on one of the main tributaries of the river Amazon, the river Mamoré, shared by Bolivia and Brazil. It is built on the confluence of the clear, dark waters of the river Pacaás Novos, and the murky, brown waters of the river Mamoré.
Visitors will be surprised by this natural Caboclo Indian style complex with more than 2 kms of raised walkways through the jungle. One of the few, and the best in this region.

The lodge can be reached by boat, either from the Bolivian border town of Guayaramerin or from the city of Guajará-Mirim on the Brazilian border.
